THE DETAILS
Muslim food businesses do well throughout the year. However, Ramadan is where they excel.
We were given the task to generate hype around BIM’S Ramadan Feast meal, with NO INFLUENCER BUDGET!
So we knew we had to lean into other Muslim food creators and their audiences, whether they were micro, macro, or even nano.
Why?
They are seen as a trusted voice with the Muslim community on all things food. Therefore, their promotion of the Ramadan Feast would be seen as more genuine. Also, we thought that they may be more open to doing things for free, or for a lower cost, due to it being the Islamic 'season of goodwill'. This was alongside the fact that we were also donating a percentage of profits to charity.
How did we do it?
We first researched and found as many halal food creators as we could until we had a list of 14 creators. (We were aiming for 10 but found extra for contingency purposes.) We then invited them in at times and locations that suited them throughout Ramadan, as the brand has 5 branches. The team provided the food, the influencers created the content, and it worked! We purposely staggered the dates they would visit to ensure that BIM’S was top of mind throughout Ramadan.
What did we achieve?
Over £5,000 in profits, 76,127 views, 2760 likes, 178 comments and 207 shares, showing real impact from working with the Muslim foodie community in a targeted way!
